RAFFLES NIGHT: BREAST CANCER – ARE THE MEN ALSO AFFECTED?

Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in women everywhere. But are the men free from being affected from this? Generally, men believe that breast cancer does not affect them at all but in fact, breast cancer does happen in male patients, albeit very rare. And equally significant is how the men take on the role of care-givers should their family members be diagnosed with and need to go through the treatment. Breast cancer does not spare anyone, either in the aspect of physical or mental anguish.

In order to help our members to learn about the risk factors for breast cancer and what you might be able to do to help lower your risk, the Singapore Business Group (SBG) is pleased to organise the seminar “Raffles Night: Breast Cancer – Are The Men Also Affected?” at Pullman Centre Saigon on Thursday, 26th October 2017. This public forum will be presented by Dr Tran Vuong Thao Nghi, Medical and Radiation Oncologist from Singapore-Vietnam Cancer Centre.

Dr Tran Vuong Thao Nghi’s talk on breast cancer will shed lights on the causes of breast cancer, the current treatment options and most importantly how to prevent this from happening to you and your loved ones.  Dr Nghi will also clear some of the myths about the risks of contracting this illness, henceforth equip participants with better knowledge to protect themselves. Furthermore, participants will have a chance to ask direct related questions to the expert, gain deeper understanding and clear any wrong perception of this illness.
